MERRY HOLIDAY!!!!

It's Christmas EVE! And I'm technology challenged, so my friend Brian [from California] is helping me fix my computer crap. Maybe this means i'll blog more...

Life is full of blessings...

You just have to keep your eyes peeled to appreciate them all.

I'm so sad that most of my posts were not the up-most-happiest they could be this year. My life is so full of blessings and i really have to appreciate this more. So below i list a bunch of lovely reasons to be thankful. :)

Just this morning....

I woke up to two sales...

A consignment check...

New crafty ideas to make at work..

I took a warm shower.
I made DELICIOUS fish tacos for breakfast. (yes ma'am, for BREAKFAST!)
I finished two necklaces.

And a really good friend is coming over to hang out before work today.

And THIS silly boy is visiting me tonight!! [and all weekend!]

Life is good. Being thankful and appreciate is key. And this mantra is something I'm going to do more of today. :)

Hope you all have a glorious day and weekend!!!

Merry Holidays!!

So...life is has been pretty dern busy lately. It's funny though, because i am doing a lot, but it also feel like i haven't been doing much at all.

Life is funny.

I've had a couple art shows in the last couple weekends, which i shall post more about later! But for now, i leave you with a photo of myself, Santa and Chris and Conrad. Chris and Conrad are a musical duo who are quite talented.

I volunteered for a local radio station [z88.3] here earlier in the year, and they had a thank you Christmas party! Twas great fun. Great music. Yummy food. And Santa! :)

I feel better. I hope you do too.

I didn't want to leave my blog being so sad. Things are complicated right now, but everything WILL be okay. I have faith it will.

A little colorful inspiration. AND A SALE!

I'm having a sale!! Mention this sale when you purchase and i shall change your invoice price. :) My friend Alex created this stellar ad, and i am very greatful! It's so pretty!

I love these colors together!! I've started a jewelry collection based upon this swatch, but the sun hasn't been cooperating lately for me to photograph the new jewels. :(

I promise you though, these are pieces you are going to adore. :)

Stay Tuned.

Time is stagnantly passing by....

The photo is from Timothy's Gallery in Winter Park. I couldn't believe how much of my jewelry was there right now [although, i SHOULD know since i bring it there] alas it still amazed me

It's been a really hard month. Scratch that. This YEAR has been really hard. The season in both the nature-al aspect and the the life aspect are both changing at once. The nature part, i am trying to embrace, since the weather has been lovely here in Florida...

The life aspect has been much more challenging. 2009 has been a crazy emotional year and just when i think i am starting to gain momentum, i seem to fall backwards again.

I get these little spurts of mini-ambitions and then lose all interest and motivation to do all that much. Which is very unlike the Jen of 2008. I don't know how to gain my footing again, or what i need to do to figure things out, or what i am supposed to be doing in general.

Didn't i already have my quarter life crisis? This is ridiculous! What do you all do to stay inspired? How do you push away the icky feelings and keep on truckin? Advice??

Hmm..This post is really a bummer I leave you with a trace of something beautiful.

Perdy

This flower was blooming to happily NOT to take a moment and photograph it. :)

But it's not Spring...rolls. :)

I <3 Spring Rolls

Okay..so i have no idea how i have lived 25 years without knowing the lovely goodness that is the spring roll. In fact, after one taste of the delicious peanutbuttery and hosin sauce [ie: peanut sauce] i think i have finally found my true love. When my friends and I were making the spring rolls in the second picture, they actually HID the Peanut Sauce from me. The horror!!

"No Jen, you are going to eat it all!"
"But..it tastes so good on broccoli and bread and carrots and..."

You can understand their concern, i prolly could have consumed this sauce by the cup full.

Anyways, i highly suggest you start venturing into trying new foods, especially those from Vietnam. So far, everything i have tried is quite a dream for my taste buds. Just wait until i blog about the Vietnamese Meatloaf!!

I think it's time.

Is it horrible that i want to go back to school and take photography classes??

Again.

TBC....

Jewelry; My creative declaration!

It's kind of scary...

It's almost November...i literally have just over a month to make dozens of pieces of jewelry, in hopes to make back what I've put into Cherry Runway this year. I'm trying not to think about it like this. Especially since i kind of took a CR hiatus to let life take a more adamant role in my well..life.

It's been a crazy year to say the least. But enough babble! ON TO THE JEWELRY! What do you think?
(ahem...Dan...comment!!) ;) (other people too may comment as well) :)

So simple, and yet, i love them so much!! I introduced a whole line of "Jenipher Lyn Jewelry" filled with copper goodness and fall inspired colors at Timothy's Gallery. I hope the jewelry does well! I made the price point more affordable as well.

These little darlings have been on my mind for over a year, and i just never made them. I LOVE how they turned out! Yay for liking CR jewelry! s'bout time! :)

I was really excited to just sit down on my "crafting floor" last night and just make this. A year ago, this would have been the most difficult task, and yet it [seems] so easy. The thought of making jewelry a year ago was terrifying...and yet I've been doing it for over a decade. Oh, what a year can do for a soul and spirit.

Such a year of blessing!!

I <3 IKEA

Who hasn't seen "500 Days of Summer"? If you haven't PLEASE DO SOON! It was such a well written, artistic, wonderful, thought provoking movie, and i highly recommend it. It also romanced the glorious IKEA, the theme park of home decor. (Thanks Carissa!)

In Orlando, if you visit IKEA before 10am, you get free breakfast! Sweet deal! So, my friends and I partook in the food-age, and walked around admiring all the fun rooms i hope to one day emulate in my own home. :)

ikeabreakfast

The eggs and potatoes were free, bacon too (bleh) and we brought Swedish pancakes with lingonberry sauce. It wasn't so shabby. I mean, how can i complain getting free breakfast?

juice

When you do visit, make sure you get the lingonberry juice from the fountain. It's A-MAZING! Much better then the concentrate they sell or the juice boxes either. :)

I still have some friends who have not visited IKEA, you know who you are, and we are going soon!!

PS: Does anyone know how to post videos on blogs? I can't figure it out! :(

Colorful Colorful Life.

Sometimes life has SUCH abundant colors that you can't but embrace yourself in it's beauty.

This pretty butterfly was donated i believe in Hollywood Flower. I honestly can't remember the same of the artist, but they have a whole gallery on Lincoln Road, Miami. If you're ever in the area you should partake in this gallery! It's pretty fantastic!

My friend William painted this beautiful painting during a service at church one time. I love the message and love this photograph. :)

What beautifully colorful things have you seen lately??

Craft on!

Jenipher :)

New Pretties! New Bloggin'!

Okay folks! It's time...i am going to be a better blogger, for realz! I know I've said this over and over, but now i should have more time since they aren't giving me enough hours at work. :) At least the bright side to THAT is that i have no excuse now!

To be honest, I've been so inspired by all of your lovely blogs, that i didn't want to post if i didn't have something uniquely splendid, but i think I'm just going to go with the flow and hopefully inspire you the same way you inspire me!!

With the new ambition to blog, i have been creating up a storm which has been brilliant!

BEHOLD! :)

Oh Cali, how i miss thee today...

So..i woke up this morning, reminising about California. I miss how beautiful it was there, the freedom of not having to be anywhere specific, the company :) , and just generally traveling.

I've never craved travel before in my life time, and since this trip and after meeting some travel emthusisit friends, i want to go EVERYWHERE now.

* Portland (THIS really should be soon!) (Crossing fingers!)
* New York City
* Brooklyn
* Savannah
* Chicago
* Seattle
* North Carolina

Those are all on the "soon i hope" list. :)

Shrink And Dink

Pre-cooked artwork!

My friend Alex came over this past Monday to collaborate our mad skillz and make some fun charms. Alex is a stellar drawer and created these lovelies in such a short span of time, twas awesome!

Mmmm!!

When Alex first told me he wanted to draw a black line around the cupcake, i thought he was nuts, but it looks stellar!!

Just Let Go

Growing Jar

Broken Hearted...

I am still amazed by this shrink plastic, it's so neat! And spending time with Alex creating is so fun! I've been yearning for friends to do art with my whole life, and i finally met them. It's just a matter of making plans to do the art, so this was such a blessing!

Alex & the mini's

I hope we get to craft again REALLY SOON! ::wink wink::

Fawn'n Around

So...obviously, i haven't been doing my part as an artist but I'm trying to play catch up now and blog and make pretty jewelry again! 2009 has been a crazy year for sure, but it's really time to start cracking down for before the holidays strike with a vengeance. ;)

SO! Exciting news time!!

Fawn is a wonderful, lovely shop in Sanford, Florida that houses beautiful hand crafted art by local folks, and an allure goodies for baby, children and mothers. She is opening and ready for business, and her grand opening is next weekend, so get ready you Florida folk! Come check out Fawn, in the Historic District, say hello to Freedom [please click that link! how amazing are her website skills!] and myself, and see my pretty jewels along with dozens of other eco-friendly and creative items!

Couting the Crows.

Oh my!! I went to a Counting Crow concert a couple weeks ago and it was Fan-freaking-tastic!! All three bands were on stage, all playing each other's songs, for large majority of the concert. Twas incredible! I've never seen any concert where there were like, 20 people on stage almost the whole time.

Counting Crows Concert

They didn't break the concert up into three sections like most concerts I've been to. Instead, they all just kind of traded drummers every couple songs and sometimes it was just the one band at a time, and sometimes random members from the other bands were singing along as well.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMkPA6HZoHQ <- Phooey! I wanted to include this video. It's one of the only "High Life" versions i approve, but i can't seem to get the actual video in my blog. Blasphemy!

If you ever have the option of seeing them, even if you never heard them before [like moi] go see them! At least on this tour!! It was a wonderful experience. :)

Picnics, Farmers Markets and a Happy Saturday.

I went on a picnic a couple weekends ago. First we went to the Farmers Market (yay!) and bought some delicious foods.

I tried my first Arnold Palmer which was STELLAR! We played our guitars, ate delicious food and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Twas lovely.

The squirels are really cocky. They litterally come RIGHT up to you to steal you're food.

Go Squirel Go!

This one was a run away. :) We did give him a cherry eventually.

Picnic Goodness

MMM....So yummy!

I love acousitc guitars...PLUS they travel well, so you can bring them to parks.

And sometimes we've had such lovely weather...when it's not raining. Welcome to Florida! It's either gorgeous or horrid outside.

All in all it was a nice afternoon. I seriously LOVE Farmers Markets so it's always a treat to visit them!
